LAVORA CON NOI

IN VICO, LOVE IS IN THE AIR

This year, to commemorate the second edition of the event dedicated to Saint Valentine, the theme chosen by the town of love is “Amore di Cioccolato” (Chocolate Love). From February 16th to 18th one of the most beautiful small towns in Italy seized the occasion of the celebrations for the patron saint Vico del Gargano to share the history, the traditions and the specialities of the town.

The theme relates to the chocolate citrus-type fruits which are, by tradition, used to adorn the Saint Valentine statue and to decorate the Mother Church, the typical “a pujedd” houses (terraced houses, with external staircase), bows, main doors and alleys; the most famous one is the “Vicolo del Bacio” (the Kiss Alley), the town’s icon where lovers promise eternal love.

It’s also believed that, by drinking the citrus juice you can have the chance to win over a potential love, even if it’s an (as of yet) unrequited one.

So, lovers and those searching for love, maybe you could think about it for the next years, and perhaps (without being caught) you could grab some oranges directly from the beautiful citrus groves and turn love in your favour.
