The Christmas Village: a shiny, sparkly little Foggia

It’s official! It’s the most beautiful time of the year and Foggia is inviting all of you to celebrate it at The Christmas Village (Il Villaggio di Natale)! It’s a brand-new project in order to feel all the good Christmas vibes that everybody has been waiting for. You will be surrounded by hundreds of lights, you will enjoy ice-skating with your friends (but please, don’t laugh at them if they fall, help them and be kind at Christmas!), dance to Christmas tunes and you will have the chance to buy wonderful gifts. If you want, you can also taste the traditional food from all over Apulia like Ciceri e tria, a mix of durum wheat and fried pasta with chickpeas from the Salento area) or cheese in all shapes and sizes from Bovino. But there are many other street food booths which offer pizzas, fried potatoes, hamburgers, roasted meats, candy, pastries and everything you’ve been dreaming of eating without feeling guilty because it’s Christmas, you know. So don’t worry, there will be plenty of time to eat healthily in 2019. Be happy about that. Happiness is all about food. I’m joking, of course. Happiness is about taking a nap too.

However, in addition to the usual Christmas tree which is a traditional element in every house, shop or school during this period, you will find a little tree made of plastic bottles at the “Cisa” booth. Check it out!

Children can have fun with rides and also meet and play with cartoon characters, wizards and elves simply by going to “The Magic World of Santa Claus”(Il Magico Mondo di Babbo Natale) where they will have the opportunity to meet the star of this festive season: Santa Claus!

Access to the Christmas Village is free, with the exception of “The Magic World of Santa Claus” for which you have to pay €5.

The whole Village is open:

  • December 8-9-15-16-21-22-23-24-25
  • From 10 AM to 10 PM
The partial (There will be no access to “The Magic World of Santa Claus” ) Village is open:
  • December 10-11-12-13-14-17-18-19-20
  • From 5 PM to 12 PM

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all of you!
